Our Story

BookLinks was born in the Spring of 2001 when Liz Villela, Steven Zimmerman, and June Schwartz decided to pool their many years of educational publishing experience into a development group focusing on the needs of school children with limited English. We established our headquarters in Astoria, Queens —the multi-cultural heart of New York City— and have been here ever since. In 2002, BookLinks expanded its services to include design, page composition, and audio production. Because our ESL and bilingual work encompassed the entire school curriculum, we very quickly established a reputation for providing innovative content for all areas. Our clients now call on us for help in Science, Reading, Math, Social Studies, and more.

In 2004, BookLinks opened a production office in the beautiful town of San Cristóbal de Las Casas, Mexico, allowing us to expand our production capacity while offering highly competitive prices. With our integrated New York and Mexico facilities and an expansive team of freelancers throughout the US, Latin America, Europe and Asia, there is no project that BookLinks cannot handle.
